Therapeutic consultation services are provided to individuals ages 16 to adulthood, enrolled in the waiver through Virginia Medicaid. Our team provides behavioral consultation services through conducting assessments, development of a support plan, and teaching in any of these designated specialty areas to assist the client's family members, caregivers, and other providers. This service is provided face-to-face and via telehealth in the individuals' home, group home, day support, work environment, and other community settings.
During this services model, the therapist meets regularely with the family, caregivers, or group home staff to monitor progress and provide on-going support. Between sessions, parents and caregivers practice using the skills they've learned from the therapist.
The first step to getting services started is to email or fax us the following items:
Our treatment approach is built on a foundation of parent involvement. From the initial onset of services, parents are involved in their child's treatment by attending monthly meetings with the child's case supervisor (BCBA/BCaBA). As the child makes progress, parent coaching sessions may systematically increase to ensure parents are trained on techniques that will allow their child to flourish outside of therapy.
A consulting/parent coaching model is also useful for families who are not seeking to purse an intensive ABA model. Family members learn solutions for preventing and responding to challenging behaviors, and techniques for increasing independence, learning and social skills.

We believe in working collaboratively with schools to help students with disabilities make progress on their goals. Our goal is to work with the professionals in the schools to find effective and efficient teaching strategies and behavior supports to help the student be successful.
We have experience with most disability categories such as autism, intellectual disabilities, ADD/ADHD, emotional/behavior disabilities, traumatic brain injury, etc.
